The second edition of the Global Arabic Language Experts Training Program
featured a rich schedule of enrichment activities and visits during its opening week.
The initiative, designed to enhance instructional skills using modern teaching
methodologies, is organized by King Abdulaziz University, represented by the
Endowment for the Language of the Qur’an, in collaboration with the King Salman
Global Academy for the Arabic Language.

Participants toured a variety of university facilities, including the Central Library,
Department of Arabic Language, Institute of Arabic Language, English Language
Institute, Sports Village, Scientific Publishing Center and University Press, and the
Museum of the Faculty of Earth Sciences. They also visited King Fahd Public Library
and commercial bookstores such as Jarir Bookstore and Kunooz Al-Ma’rifa.

The program also included cultural and recreational visits to Historic Jeddah, the
national museums at Jeddah Park, and Andalus Mall. A highlight was the journey to
Makkah, where participants performed Umrah and visited the Hira Cultural Center,
followed by a trip to Al-Masjid An-Nabawi in Medina. Additional visits included the
Saudi Association for Culture and Arts, the Jeddah Literary Club, a scenic tour along
the Jeddah Corniche, and a specially arranged desert excursion.

The program brings together 24 specialists from 18 countries, and will continue for
four weeks. It aims to support the professional development of Arabic language
teachers for non-native speakers, equipping them with modern pedagogical tools and
culturally immersive experiences.
