This study examines the literature movement in Qunfudah from 1980 to 2016. Therefore, the focus of this study was on poetic arts and narrative arts, which were printed and published in classical Arabic in Qunfudah during that period. Accordingly, the study examined a collection of poetry books of the poets of Qunfudah, in addition to studying another collection of narratives stories and novels in al-Qunfudah. The research was based on the historical approach in the preparation of the research, taking advantage of other approaches when needed based on induction, analysis, classification, criticism and opinion. Both the ancient poetic themes, modern poetic themes have been studied; and the most prominent artistic features were revealed with the presentation of examples and examples of poetic texts in the poets of Qunfudah. The study also dealt with the poetic images in the work of the poets in Qunfudah; and traced the most important sources and elements of the poetic images in the poetry of Qunfudah, in addition to studying the scenes of the places and its poetic connotations. The second chapter dealt with the study of narrative arts (the story and the novel) through a brief presentation explaining the idea of each work and highlighted its themes and technical features and the story of its writer. Then the study dealt with the mechanisms of narration in the writers’ works in Qunfudah. These mechanisms include most notably: personal, event, description, and place. The study then went on to monitor and analyse the psychological and social dimensions in the Qunfudah narratives. The research has reached many results, including: Poets of Qunfudah wrote their old themes in the art of praise, elegy and love poetry, while their most recent themes cover terrorism, poverty and youth education. The traditional rhythm and rhyme scheme of Arabic poetry dominated quantitatively and qualitatively other poetry types. Abdul Rahman Badawi was the first poet in Qunfudah. Many of the narrative works in Qunfudah received national and international awards as proof of their excellence. |
