Abstract : The warped product manifolds appear in differential geometric studies in a natural way. The study of warped product manifolds was initiated by R. L. Bishop and B. O’Neill [10], they introduced the notion of warped product to study the manifolds of negative curvature. The present thesis focus on the study of warped product submanifolds of a locally product Riemannian manifolds. In the present thesis we studied some geometric aspects of warped product semi-invariant submanifolds of a locally product Riemannian manifolds. Various examples of these warped product submanifolds are provided and some fundamental geometric properties of these submanifolds are obtained in [40] and [7]. Their researches finding have been presented in Chapter 2. B. Sahin [42] and M. Atceken [6] explored a more general class of warped product submanifolds, namely warped product semi-slant submanifolds of a locally product Riemannian manifolds. Some characterization and results of these submanifolds are given in Chapter 3. Motivated by the work on the topic, we have studied warped product pseudo-slant submanifolds of a locally product Riemannian manifolds and obtained some basic results for these warped product submanifolds. Moreover, an inequality for the squared norm of the second fundamental form is established by us. We presented it in Chapter 4
