Abstract
:
The use of gamma rays as anti fungal and anti-aflatoxin secreted by the fungus Aspergillus flavus isolated from corn stored. The study and assess the impact of different doses of gamma radiation on the growth of fungus Aspergillus flavus and aflatoxin production in corn fertilized it and stored. Where the fungus isolated from stored corn had been identified as a race-producing aflatoxin. To do this have been vaccinated 100 grams of corn sterilized and placed in flasks conical sterile 250 ml and the commentator fungus Aspergillus flavus growth of 10 6 colony / ml and then exposure to gamma rays from the source of cobalt-60 and the time-course in order to obtain doses of 3, 5 and 7 kilo Gray. The results obtained for the preparation of Aspergillus flavus after exposure to gamma rays show that the three doses used had an impact on the production of aflatoxin and continued effect until 21 days of storage. It also shows that the treatment of corn and the minimum dose of 3 kilo Gray works as a counter to the growth of Aspergillus flavus fungus and prevent the formation of aflatoxin in corn storage. The gamma rays at a dose of the above-mentioned safe and can be used to increase the storage period of the atom.
