Objectives of the course:
The objective of the course is to provide the undergraduate students necessary mathematical pre-requisites to study core physics courses.
Course Description:
Vector analysis, gradient, divergence, curl; Gauss’ and Stokes’ theorems; orthogonal curvilinear coordinates. Elements of complex algebra, De Moivre’s theorem. Matrix, determinant and their important algebraic properties. Ordinary differential equations of the first and second order with constant and variable coefficients.
